Lab Manager, every port, job and memory ceiling 10 October 2026

Anything running that the lab has not listed fails a check within the hour

Four AI agents run services on the lab's main machine, so every service, scheduled job and memory limit is listed first, and checks compare the machine with the list every hour.

  • Thirty-four services are listed, each with its port, owner and state. Twenty-two answer only on the machine itself, and on 10 October the firewall had no openings, as the list declares.
  • Twenty-five scheduled jobs on two machines log every run, which tells a job that never started from one that ran and did nothing. A daily or monthly job is asked every hour, so a machine that was switched off still catches up.
  • A heavy design build must state a memory ceiling and its reason, or it will not start. Two 4 GB ceilings were in force, and no process was over.

On its first run, the port check found a test server sharing a whole project folder.

Three registers, each read against the machine every hour Three registers declare what the control host may run. The service register declares 34 services: 21 live, 8 on demand and 5 held on purpose, and 22 of them answer only on the machine itself. The job register declares 25 scheduled jobs on two machines, each run recorded by one wrapper, with none late or failing. The budget register holds a memory ceiling of 4 GB for two design trees, and the wrapper refuses a job with no ceiling. Four, three and two hourly checks read each register against the machine. The host firewall holds exactly the openings the register declares, which is none. Measured on 10 October 2026. 01 SERVICES 34 declared 21 live, 8 on demand, 5 held on purpose; 22 answer only on the machine itself 02 JOBS 25 scheduled on two machines, every run recorded by one wrapper; none late or failing today 03 BUDGETS 4 GB ceilings for two design trees; the wrapper refuses a job with no ceiling; no process over one HOURLY CHECKS 4 H1 to H4 HOURLY CHECKS 3 J1 to J3 HOURLY CHECKS 2 C5 and C6 Every row is declared first, and a check then reads the machine against it.
